Year 11 student at Monmouth School for Boys seals place in Welsh team for British Athletics Cross Challenge

A 15-year-old runner at Haberdashers’ Monmouth Schools will represent Wales in next month’s British Athletics Cross Challenge Liverpool.

Henry Evans (wearing the number 269) was the second fastest Welsh athlete in the Under-17 men’s section of the Cardiff Cross Challenge in Llandaff. He finished 14th overall in the Under-17 men’s race in Cardiff against some of the best runners in the UK.

Henry is now looking forward to competing for Wales at Sefton Park, Liverpool, on Saturday 27th November. He can often be found running around Monmouth with his father, Dr Huw Evans, a Maths teacher and running coach at Monmouth School for Boys.
